XML to JSON & JSON to XML — Free, Private
Paste XML to get tidy JSON, or paste JSON to get well-formed XML. Attributes, arrays and nested structures all survive the round trip.
XML ↔ JSON
Attributes → @keys · repeated elements → arrays
Mapping rules
Attributes become keys prefixed with @ (so <order id="42"> → "@id": "42"). An element with repeated siblings becomes an array. Text-only elements become plain strings, and the declaration line is added automatically when you export XML. If your XML uses a namespace prefix, it is preserved verbatim.
Why it's private
XML and JSON in real work contain configuration, keys, and structured business data. Pasting either into a web form sends it to an unknown endpoint. Both conversions here are pure DOM work in your browser tab — no fetch, no upload, no log of what you converted.
Who needs this
Integrations engineers translating a legacy SOAP payload for a modern API, data folks moving between a system of record that speaks XML and a database that speaks JSON, and anyone debugging a feed where seeing the same data as JSON makes the structure obvious.
