Video to Image — Grab a Frame as a PNG, In-Browser
Pull one perfect still out of a video: type the moment, and the frame at that point is saved as a lossless PNG — no screenshot app, no upload.

Grab one frame as a lossless PNG
Seconds or min:sec — the frame at exactly that moment is saved as a lossless PNG.
First run downloads the local engine (~31 MB) once, then your browser caches it for next time. Processing speed depends on your device — short clips are quickest, and longer videos simply take longer. Everything happens in this tab; the network stays empty the whole time.
How to extract a frame from a video in your browser
- Choose the video.
- Type the moment you want — seconds or min:sec. Scrub the preview first if you can, then use that number.
- Run it. The engine decodes to that exact frame and writes it as a PNG, so nothing is re-compressed or resized.
- Preview and download the image.
It is the honest alternative to pausing a player and taking a screenshot — which captures the player chrome, scales the frame to the window, and compresses the whole thing. A frame grab gives you the full-resolution frame, exactly as encoded, as a lossless PNG.
Why it's private
The frame you want to extract may be the sensitive moment in a recording. A frame grabber that uploads the video to "pull one picture" is backwards — here the decoder works on the file in your tab and hands you the PNG directly.
Who needs this
Grabbing a clean still from a screen recording (no player chrome, full resolution, lossless), or saving one good frame from a shaky clip as a reference image.
