Our PDF suite removes the server entirely. Merging and splitting work on the raw page objects (so text stays selectable and quality is untouched), image-to-PDF sizes each page to its own image, and PDF-to-image uses the same rendering engine that powers Firefox. If the document is confidential — a contract, a passport, medical paperwork — local processing is the only option we’d trust, which is why it’s the only option we build.

- Do my PDFs get uploaded anywhere? No. All seven PDF tools run fully in your browser using open-source PDF libraries. No file ever leaves your device.
- Are password-protected PDFs supported? Files that require a password must be unlocked first. We deliberately cannot bypass document encryption.
